About Rin Kelly Photography

Rin Kelly is an independent writer, photographer and journalist based in both Denver, Colorado and the San Francisco Bay Area.  Her writing has appeared in publications across the country, including a host of Bay Area News Group newspapers and well-known alt-weeklies like East Bay Express, Washington City Paper and New York Press. She has produced segments for syndicated Pacifica Radio national affairs program "Letters and Politics" and written for a number of websites and magazines, including Terrain, Orion and Mr. Skin. Her photography regularly appears in Bay Area newspapers; other photo credits include NYTimes.com, L.A. RECORD and TheBaySoccer.com, where she has covered women's professional soccer.

A graduate of the New School in New York City, she has studied journalism, photography and multimedia with instructors and mentors all over the United States, most recently at Fotovision, San Francisco Art Institute and as a visiting freelancer at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. She is currently working on several long-term investigative projects and documentary photo essays as well as a book-length work of fiction.
